Feedback from last group:
What participants said:
“What makes it interesting is that we’re different ages and come from different backgrounds and cultures. We all learn from each other. There’s a lot of sharing and support, a sense of camaraderie. And it’s a girls’ fun night out! ”
-- Janice
“Speaking one’s ideas out loud and hearing others’ thoughts is always a rich experience. Sometimes words resonate with your own truth or move you out of a stagnant way of thinking.
In this supportive atmosphere (which has a lot to do with Thelma’s competence and sensitivity), I can share almost anything. I really appreciate being in this group. ”
-- Kitty M.
“I like sharing what’s on my mind and knowing that I will not be judged. We have a lot of laughs but are there for each other when someone’s facing a difficult issue. The Joy Club reminds us that we are not alone. ”
-- Orly
“Talking, sharing and laughing with others is so healing – and it’s fun!”
-- Sylvia V.
“I’m delighted with Thelma’s friendliness and openness as well as the enthusiasm of the group. Discussions and handouts help us to live our best life with utter simplicity.”
-- Lyra d’S.
“The Joy Club gives me ‘wings,’ a great feeling of support and sisterhood. I also like the variety of topics and the handouts.”
-- Rosa Bautista
“Thank you for creating the Joy Club. I think it is something each of us needed at this point in our life and it‘s been a great learning experience.”
-- Noutcheka
“I enjoy the interaction and discussions. ”
-- Veronica
“It’s great to see others out there who have gone through similar situations and to know they understand and can relate.”
-- Maida H.
“ This was a truly amazing journey; to have the chance to meet women from different backgrounds and ways of life. Your lively presence gave us the necessary structure and the encouragement we needed to grow and move forward.
The Joy Club gives us a sense of belonging and the opportunity to share life experiences. I hope it continues.”
-- Grace M.
What Thelma said:
“I saw members of the Joy Club (9 women) face their fears, take on new challenges and encourage each other in times of difficulty. Best of all, four years later, many of them are still meeting as friends.”
About Thelma Mariano
As someone who writes and is fascinated by human psychology, I have always been concerned with happiness.
The principles and information I share come from years of research and practical application. My own Life Satisfaction Quiz was picked up by a large personal development site called Self-growth.com and sent by newsletter to hundreds of thousands of people worldwide.
I have also successfully given motivational workshops in the Montreal area, both with the public and with various organizations – Dream Achievers, Discover Your Life Purpose, Find your Mid-life Passion, etc. You can find out more about me in my profile and info on life coaching.
It is my hope that The Joy Club will help many people to lead more fulfilling lives as well as to form rewarding friendships.
